Dr. Wing is passionate about providing attentive care that honors the complexity of each unique patient. they highly value cultivating an environment that is safe and grounded in values such as self-compassion, awareness, and affirmation. She also aims to practice trauma-informed, weight neutral, anti-racist, gender affirming and culturally competent care for all patients.
In visits, Dr. Wing holds deep curiosity for the details to understand and discover the “why” behind it all. She believes this is vital to arrive at accurate diagnoses, map out goals and choose a supportive constellation of tools. Sessions are typically 60 minutes for these reasons and time is often spent discovering how the mind and body are intrinsically linked.
Treatment planning takes into consideration current signs and symptoms and their impact on quality of life as well as current lifestyle, life circumstances and accessibility to resources. Lifestyle modifications and prescribing herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, and/or pharmaceuticals involves shared decision-making with compassion, clarity, realistic expectations and close follow-up.
Healthcare is a team effort and Dr. Wing aims to triage care and help patients utilize appropriate and available additional resources such as physical therapy, mental health therapy, acupuncture and bodywork. dr. wing is passionate about networking with like-minded practitioners in the area.
Dr. Wing’s patients know her to be creative with regular research, consulting with colleagues and brainstorming of both conventional and integrative options. they regularly complete continuing education for a variety of primary care topics to review, reflect, learn and keep up with new research. Special interests and common practice concerns include mental health (depression, anxiety, grief, attention problems), metabolic health (thyroid function, cholesterol and blood sugar balance), pelvic health (menstruation, sexual health, pelvic pain, fertility, postpartum support) and gender affirming care.
